KALAKALA BULLETIN No. 3

Please join our Kalakala & other privately owned Ferry Tales, Essay, photo, film, and art contest.  This contest includes entries related to the Kalakala, Puget Sound Navigation Company (PSNC aka Black Ball Line), the Washington State Ferries until 1967, or Alaska.

The PSNC aka Black Ball Line spanned between 1850’s and ended June 1,1951.  The Kalakala continues even today.  Copies of all the entries must provide full release and permission that allows the Kalakala Alliance Foundation to use such contest materials without future penalties.  The foundation will display materials within the future non-profit museum, place some materials within a July 3, 2010 Time Capsule, and  place materials on board the Kalakala and in a future museum.

Every month four finalists will be selected to move on towards a grand prize awarded to the finalist on July 3, 2007.  The winner will be able to cater their own party and have the entire Promenade Deck space for consecutive two days, at no cost, to entertain their family, friends, and guests July 3, 2010.
